Magnum Manila - SM Aura Premier Taguig - 6 Months After it Closed

In April 2014, Magnum Philippines opened the Magnum Pleasure Store, or more commonly known as Magnum Manila. Pleasure seekers were able to create their version of Magnum Bars with a wide variety of dips, toppings and drizzles. Aside from this, you can also enjoy some of mouthwatering Magnum desserts.

I was not able to go there before because of my work schedule and it will be a long drive from home. I’ve felt a bit jealous of the people who were able to try it. My friends from work and I have planned to go there and unfortunately, we didn’t make it, until I saw a news from spot.ph that it will be closing on July 26.

Last July 25, I have asked Paul to pick me up from work and go straight to SM Aura for my final chance to try Magnum Manila. There was a short line when we got there since the mall just barely opened. I just waited about 5 minutes before we got to the first part: Payment! I wasn’t really planning of trying their desserts because I was already suffering with the early stages of pneumonia that time. Paul was not much of a supporter of my Magnum adventure, but I still convinced him and he finally gave in.

I ordered two chocolate Magnum bars both dipped on dark chocolate. I was asked to choose 3 toppings and I chose Chopped Pistachios, Roasted Almonds and Chocolate Crunch Balls finishing it with White Chocolate drizzle. Paul, on the other hand, made a very unique combination of Spicy Chicharon, Quezo de Bola Shavings and Marshmallows with White Chocolate Drizzle.

My Magnum Bar was great! But Paul’s version was awesome! The different tastes of sweet, salty and spicy melted in my taste buds like heaven! After eating, Paul and I had a quick look of the place. I took pictures of their menu and some of the Magnum Bars displayed.

I wish I have not waited that long before I tried it. Too bad, Magnum Manila is already closed. But I’m still hopeful that Magnum Manila will be back to give us pleasure again.
