My Share A Coke Experience

Around early or mid-2013, I have seen pictures of coke bottles and cans with names on it. I wondered where and how they got one but I was hopeless because the photos were mostly from Europe and the Middle East. So I just had to let the dream go at that time. Luckily, I found coke in cans in a convenient store that has Mommy and Daddy on it instead of the normal Coca Cola logo. I immediately bought them and the search started here. I found it difficult to find our names on coke cans so I tried looking for our names on 500 ml pet bottles. My sister found her name "Chel" and she bought it. Everyday, I visited 3-4 convenient stores to look for our names but always with no luck. So I checked Coke's website to know more about how I could get one.

Every weekend, they are having an event/tour in different malls, grocery stores and other locations. First event I visited was in G5. I went to G5 right after I my shift ended and I asked around on how I could get a personalized bottle and I was informed that I should purchase Php150 worth of Coke products which I thought wasn't a big deal. I even told myself, "Maliit na bagay, Php150 lng pala e." My plan was to get all of our names during that day, but when I was filling up my basket, oh it was really heavy. So I just bought Php300 worth of coke products and got my dad and Kyle's names first.

I had to carry this heavy load from G5 to the corner of Makati Ave and Paseo so I can get a ride home. To add more challenge to this experience, it started raining. And my trip from Makati to Angono was a nightmare. But it was all worth it when I saw the smiles on my family's faces. I also visited the coke tour in save more Antipolo and got 3 more personalized bottles for my mom, me and Paul. Getting our names printed on coke bottles was a real fun experience.
