Cheese and Garlic Potato Recipe

I have been preparing this recipe for some time now and I have always planned of sharing it here. I really don't consider this recipe as a secret. In fact, almost everybody who tried my cheese and garlic potatoes, asked how I made it. And I always share the recipe with them.
Cheese and Garlic Potato Recipe
This recipe was inspired by my friend. My high school friends had a mini get together about three years ago and each of us were asked to bring something. I was in the peak of my creative years, so I brought a Red Ribbon cake! One of my friend served baby potatoes drenched in butter and fresh garlic. It tasted good but it seemed incomplete. First, I like garlic better if it's toasted. Second, I thought it would go better with grated cheese. The weekend after that, I bought some baby potatoes, garlic, salted butter and cheese.
I just started with these four ingredients but as time passed by, I made minor changes to it. Here, let me give you list of the ingredients.
Cheese and Garlic Potato Recipe
1 pack of baby potatoes (usually weighs about a third of a kilo)
1 head garlic (minced)
1 corn oil
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp parsley (chopped)
1 tbsp salted butter
Pinch of salt
Grated cheese

Procedure:
1. Wash and boil the potatoes. It usually takes around 10-15 minutes to cook but you can always check the potatoes with a fork. The cooking times also depends on the size of the potatoes. And try not to get it overcooked.
2. Drain the potatoes and let cool water run down to it. Once cooled, you can cut the potatoes in half. This can allow more flavor in. Don't peel.
3. Heat oil and toast garlic until golden brown. Drain oil. Set aside.
4. Mix halved potatoes, olive oil, salt and 2/3 of the toasted garlic and 2/3 of the chopped parsley. Let it sit for a couple of minutes.
5. Heat pan and melt the butter. Add in the potato mix and add some grated cheese. Turn off the heat once the cheese melts. Remove from heat and transfer it on a serving plate.
6. Garnish with the remaining cheese, garlic and parsley. Serve.
