Kangkong With Oyster Sauce Recipe

Last year, our family had dinner at one of the branches of Chic-Boy in Rizal. We ordered their famous Chicken Inasal and Cebu Lechon Liempo. We also had one of their controversial Ginisang Kangkong sa Bawang (sautéed swamp cabbage in garlic). It tastes good and I thought that it was an easy dish to cook. I tried doing my own version of this and I would like to share the recipe with you here. 
Kangkong With Oyster Sauce Recipe 

You will need:
1 bundle of kangkong
2-3 tbsp of minced garlic
2-3 tbsp oyster sauce
Fish sauce to taste Cooking oil

First, you need to take the leaves out of the bundle and set aside. 
Then cut the soft stalks to pieces roughly 1-2 inches long. Discard the hard ends. 
Next, you have to take 2/3 of the minced garlic and toast it on some cooking oil until golden brown. Set aside. 
Using the same pan and oil, sauté the rest of the garlic and throw in the soft stalks from the kangkong bundle for about 2minutes. 
Add in the oyster sauce and cook for 1 more minute. 
Add in the kangkong leaves and mix thoroughly. 
Season with fish sauce to your liking. 
Serve and place the toasted garlic on top. Enjoy! 

This dish can only cost around Php15 to cook and the serving is bigger than what you can order from Chic-Boy.
