This year’s summer started early and it’s really hot around this time of the month. I bet our electricity bill will be soaring high again! Lol! And when I’m on my way home from work, I normally take longer routes just to pass through some malls! So, how do you cool down this summer? Some people might turn on the AC and stay indoors, some goes to the beach and for some (most) people like me we eat ice cream, halo-halo or anything cold!

It’s funny because here in the Philippines, we normally associate famous brand names to everything similar to it and use it like a generic term. Like how we use Colgate for toothpaste and Xerox for photocopiers/photocopying. I think the same thing goes for fastfood fried chickens!

Do you remember how we spent our afternoons when we were still kids? Me? I just usually play street games like patintero and taguan with my friends. And when we start to get hungry, the slightest hint of manong’s fishball aroma leads us to drop everything and head over to manong's cart! Fishballs still has its appeal to me and I probably will never get tired of it (or at least not anytime soon).

Paul and his friends have had many motorcycle rides without me because of this irrational fear of riding the motorcycles I have developed over the years. Paul has been kind enough to take me by car to the places they have visited when we get the chance. Last week, they went to Jariel's Peak and now he’s taking me there!

Summer is almost here and when you say summer, Baguio is the first thing that comes to my head! And when you say Baguio, I can only think about these: the cold weather, ube and strawberries! It is about a 6-8 hour drive from Manila and currently I don’t have the time to enjoy their delicacies. Good thing, I found a place where I can enjoy Baguio in Rizal! Ok, maybe just the strawberries!

In April 2014, Magnum Philippines opened the Magnum Pleasure Store, or more commonly known as Magnum Manila. Pleasure seekers were able to create their version of Magnum Bars with a wide variety of dips, toppings and drizzles. Aside from this, you can also enjoy some of mouthwatering Magnum desserts.
