Dream Vacation Turned Nightmare

We decided to have our summer outing in Coron Palawan around the last week of December or the early weeks of January. My boss looked for a travel agency and booked 11 people for the said outing. VCP Travel House was referred to my boss and he made an arrangement with them so we can pay for the travel package on an installment basis. Initially we were scheduled to have the trip last week of February. The travel agency said that we did not comply with their terms wherein we were supposed to have settled x% of the total bill on or before x number of days from booking date. So we were rescheduled to have the trip on June. In May, we added 2 more people to join us and it was already paid for in the same month.

Snow Panda - SM Angono

This year’s summer started early and it’s really hot around this time of the month. I bet our electricity bill will be soaring high again! Lol! And when I’m on my way home from work, I normally take longer routes just to pass through some malls! So, how do you cool down this summer? Some people might turn on the AC and stay indoors, some goes to the beach and for some (most) people like me we eat ice cream, halo-halo or anything cold!

Pa-Chicken McDo for Joy

It’s funny because here in the Philippines, we normally associate famous brand names to everything similar to it and use it like a generic term. Like how we use Colgate for toothpaste and Xerox for photocopiers/photocopying. I think the same thing goes for fastfood fried chickens!

Where do You Like to Dip Your (Fish) Balls?

Do you remember how we spent our afternoons when we were still kids? Me? I just usually play street games like patintero and taguan with my friends. And when we start to get hungry, the slightest hint of manong’s fishball aroma leads us to drop everything and head over to manong's cart! Fishballs still has its appeal to me and I probably will never get tired of it (or at least not anytime soon).

La Lola Churreria - SM Megamall

In December 2014, the first La Lola Churreria store opened at the Power Plant Mall. To date, they now have 11 branches located in different malls and shopping centers in Metro Manila. Yesterday, I got the chance to visit their SM Megamall branch.

Jariel's Peak - Quezon Province

Paul and his friends have had many motorcycle rides without me because of this irrational fear of riding the motorcycles I have developed over the years. Paul has been kind enough to take me by car to the places they have visited when we get the chance. Last week, they went to Jariel's Peak and now he’s taking me there!

Zack's Kubo's Strawberry Sinigang - Taytay Rizal

Summer is almost here and when you say summer, Baguio is the first thing that comes to my head! And when you say Baguio, I can only think about these: the cold weather, ube and strawberries! It is about a 6-8 hour drive from Manila and currently I don’t have the time to enjoy their delicacies. Good thing, I found a place where I can enjoy Baguio in Rizal! Ok, maybe just the strawberries!
